Freezeing is not as likely as problems from pressure changes. Most luggage is kept in an unpressurized cargo hold. Put in ziplock bag as previously stated. If your cologne freezes it has to be really really cold, cologne has a lot alcohol in it.

In any commercial aircraft, freezing in the cargo area is IMPOSSIBLE. Pressure changes, yes. Freezing, no.

i'm a gremlin, and my job is to stow away in airplane cargo hold then climb out onto the wing mid flight to make one unlucky passenger go coo-coo.
in my line of work it pays to know what you're dealing with. i have come to learn that southwest airline DO NOT have pressurized cargo compartments.
i have had many dog meat meals because of this. your liquids may have a chance of popping if you try and "move about the country" with southwest.

the nice planes are jet blue. cargo compartment IS nice and warm even at 60,000 feet above sea level. many time the flight attendants come down and have tea with me. your stuff should be safe with jet blue.

tell me youre flight number and i'll sneak onto that plane and keep your stuff warm in my armpits for you. and if you like, i can wave HI to you from the left main wing.
