No question - I'd turn it in. If no one claimed it, it'd be mine eventually anyways.

It pays to be a cold hearted son of a bitch.. especially after finding a shit load of money on the side of the road. One year closer to retirement!

65k? keep it. what did she get for her good deed? time off. who cares about that? are a couple unpaid days off worth handing 65k over? i'd take whatever days i had left and take those off and go on a trip with my new fortune. and buy a homeless man a six pack on my way there.

I'd be pocketing that SO quickly.

I would confirm the legitimacy of the bills (not counterfeit) Then book a flight. Vegas is right, no better laundering system out there! 10 Casinos, 6 grand each with 1-2 grand on each hand of blackjack. Worst case you leave there with $50K in someone else's bills, best case you win win win and end up with big cash, again, in clean bills. Deposit at the bank before jumping on a plane and you've got a pretty solid story of winning it big in one weekend.

I don't think it makes me a bad person, you can bet your ass I'd invest that money well and you'd see a lot go into good causes over years to come.

Now if I found someone's personal wallet with huge cash, absolutely turning it in immediately without stealing a penny. Personal vs corporate is a big difference. Either way I'd never steal from an individual or a company, we're talking about passive theft

For any of you saying you'd keep the money - would you claim it on your income tax refund? If not, what would you do if you got audited?

loomis should. but they're not obligated to. so they wont. or she works for the gov't it said so she's not entitled to one. which would give me even more motive to keep every penny of it. if it was me...... s2k vendors would love me. first i have to get an s of course.
