I'd keep it. Donate some so I didn't feel bad. But keep most.

For any of you saying you'd keep the money - would you claim it on your income tax refund?
On your income tax return.

I doubt 65k would even pop a red flag from the IRS. Loan from a friend or family member?

What perfect timing for this thread...

Just a few hours ago I went to use the ATM machine by a parking lot and instead of the usual welcome banner being displayed, the screen just asks if I would like to perform another transaction. Huh??

Turns out somebody's card was still in the machine.

I returned the card to its owner, but only after asking if he had used the machine and what his name was.

Stealing is stealing, whether it involves corporations or individuals. Call me naive, but I believe in karma, and have been damn glad for my own sake that there are still honest people out there.

I would hold on to it..... and see what became of it. If nothing.....then it's mine. If it became a big deal...... I'd turn it in and claim I just found it.

All money is insured...especially 65K.

Not even close to the same situation... You're on camera. You'd be screwed if you tried to steal the dudes money.

I would be sweating night and day if I kept the money. You never know who's watching, who can find out, etc.
