Yes, I've done it. Liked it alot. Helps tremendously if the kid is well behaved. I was 22 she was like 19 or so. Daughter was around 2 or 3. Dad lived in Cali so no baby-daddy drama. Would go to the mall together and I would carry the daughter and all the ladies would come up to me and go "awwwwwww she's so cute, whats her name?" And I'd put on my Connery 007 smirk and respond.
Everywhere I went with the child I had women flocking to me like flies on dung. Even with her mom right there. The daughter was absolutely beautiful though. Only thing that was tough was actually getting one on one TLC time. I didn't mind though as I wasn't using her for booty. We were friends in HS before she had the baby so I knew I could chill with her and not walk around with a campsite in my pants.
If you crave attention and must be number1 then don't do it. If you don't mind and you're not marrying the girl then go ahead. Just don't be a dickhead about it and ignore the child. Even though it wasn't my child I had a responsibility to do what was right if I could. I never bought diapers or clothes or stuff like that but if lil missy was hungry I wouldn't mind buying a happy meal or something lol. I didn't want to be insta-dad and she never expected me to be or put that on me. All depends on the girl.

Also there is an age window for children where this acceptable. Post-toddler pre-kindergarden. If the child is outside of this age range. GOOD LUCK. Inside the range is your optimal timing.

I think "Depends" is the only rational answer to a question like this, but I voted yes lol.
As was mentioned, if you need to be the star of the show, don't do it. If you actually like the person, there's no reason a child has to be a deal-breaker. And as you get older, it's going to come up more and more often.
Just be aware that you'll be having sex with a proven fertile woman, so unless you happen to know you are sterile, take appropriate measures.
