Would you do this?

Hate to break it to you pal, but you deserve to be bull-whipped for publicizing your "dilemma" on a public forum.

I bet you'd gladly pay that much to have it back, wouldn't ya?
You can't loose what you've never had.

Even then. . . doesn't cost that much. . . normally.

Don't risk your life for $40k, which is what you would be doing if you were to follow through with this.

On the other hand....she MAY be one hot piece of ass that you would be a sucker for not marrying cause you may be one of those pimple-faced losers that would've never got a girl like this (speculating what type of girl she is) in a trillion billion million years. If this is the case, you would be getting a hot wife PLUS $40k to bang her.

*Note: This is not a personal attack on your looks/character/morals, but merely based on many "speculations" that could or could not be true. Nor the statement made after the first sentence any form of a legal/written document stating my advice and/or suggestions in regards to the matter for which this post was written about.*

Or how about you post a picture?

Maybe it will change some people's opinions.

True that! 50% of all marriages end in divorce...the other 50% end in DEATH. I don't think I like those odds at all!
But not 50% of first marriages, which is more to the point in this case.

Yeah, because that ALWAYS stops people from doing things, right?
Um, no.

Because doing things that are illegal doesn't make the same sense as doing things that are legal. Some people do things that don't make sense; I wasn't commenting on that.

My bias is that I don't feel marriage makes much sense, period. So regardless of whether it happens legally or illegally, it isn't going to make much sense in my book no matter what. Of course that's only a personal opinion.

I don't agree, however, that legality or lack thereof necessarily means anything about whether something makes sense. I'd wager most folks would agree that there are laws that don't make sense and activities which are legal but should arguably be made illegal. Of course exactly what is included in each category will vary from person to person.

The bottom line for me is that I don't feel illegal things automatically make less sense than legal things. If that were always the case, then we wouldn't be where we are today because there sure have been a crapload of laws broken throughout history, and not always for what we'd deem unworthy causes.
