Would you keep $7,000 in your Paypal Account?
I have to agree with everyone else here... no way. What a lot of people forget is that Paypal is not a bank and is not subject to the same rules and regulations as banks. Which also means that they are not FDIC insured. I never leave 1 dime in my account for longer than absolutely necessary.
All I need is your paypal ID (email address) and I can put a dispute in against you. Your account is now frozen until it gets settled. So you won't be able to touch that money for months.
I never heard anything like that site has to say about them. thats pretty bad. Ive only been screwed by them once for $250.00. Im always leary of using them for paying people, and i always take money out asap after recieving payments from people.
my brother said he had thousands in there for the 5% rate, too. I told him to move it to a real bank due to the ease of losing access to the money as well as the lack of FDIC insurance.
I think the risk warrants a return of 7% myself, but what do I know.
