These threads crack me up. Overly protective of 'young' girls and view it all as 'sick' until they hit late 17.. then the countdown starts.

Its merely a result of overexposure and the overall desensitization of our culuture. I don't know that its a bad thing - hell Elvis was considered provocative.

Personally I don't know how I feel about it. On one hand I hate how conservative/shy people are in general about sexuality and take a very liberal approach to the issue as a whole (nudity, sex, whatever) - looking to Europe for examples of how it "should be". On the other hand if it were my sister or daughter... well... again, double standards are never cool.

Ultimately the world is ever changing, information moves faster than ever before and kids/people in general are exposed to FAR more than ever before thanks to the internet, television and movies. A 12 year old today isn't what/who a 12 year old was 30 years ago.
