Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

Wrong on so many levels.

kinda like seeing a midget dance (which is funny by it self, and hilarious when drunk) but because these are little girls..... thats is just wrong.

These threads crack me up. Overly protective of 'young' girls and view it all as 'sick' until they hit late 17.. then the countdown starts.

Its merely a result of overexposure and the overall desensitization of our culuture. I don't know that its a bad thing - hell Elvis was considered provocative.

Personally I don't know how I feel about it. On one hand I hate how conservative/shy people are in general about sexuality and take a very liberal approach to the issue as a whole (nudity, sex, whatever) - looking to Europe for examples of how it "should be". On the other hand if it were my sister or daughter... well... again, double standards are never cool.

Ultimately the world is ever changing, information moves faster than ever before and kids/people in general are exposed to FAR more than ever before thanks to the internet, television and movies. A 12 year old today isn't what/who a 12 year old was 30 years ago.

It is what it is.
there is still, and always will be such a thing as too young for certain things. The way a child matures should be handled with good morals, this is teaching girls not to be 'more open about sexuality' this is teaching them to be objects. I come from Russia, and there it's def. a lot more open about sex, nudity, etc. Nudity is often viewed as an art first, $$$$$$ second (there's nudity in the newspapers).. and once you get exposed to it often at a old enough age you don't get as many whores. Although..in Russia, the crack cancels all that out.. there's a lot of prostitutes.

Everyone forgets history but not to long ago(before the 1900s), if you were chubby you were considered beautiful, and if you're fit you were considered not worthy of marriage.

Rule of thumb, if your child does not understand the full scope of what you're doing to them in public, DON'T DO IT unless it's school related.

400 years ago, if you're not married by 14 you're old and lonely.

Remember :

"It takes lots of drunk daddies missing a lot of dance recitals before you decide to go blow a goat on the internet for 50 bucks. ..."
