Default WRX Wagon?

I'm not impressed:

http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadtests/s...62/article.html

Using the conventional launch method: 0-60mph in 8.7seconds?!?!?!?
Unconventional: 6.7seconds

But I have to admit it is a bargain for the performance AWD wagon vs the Audi S4.

It would be a nice complement to the S2000

And not to forget, it also could be a very good winter beater...

I'd buy one in a second. Forget stock, get a unichip in there and you'll be laying down times that will embarass your S2000 - and it's a wagon. Big thumbs up. Awesome second car.

it's a perfect compliment to an S2K - bad weather is its friend, it has stacks of hauling room and it kicks ass on bad roads. spend $1k on a Vishnu Stage 0 kit and another $2k upgrading the suspension and you've got a serious sleeper.

That review was with a 4 speed auto. They got a 6.3 with the manual, and the wagon is faster than the sedan believe it or not.

NOT. The wagon is heavier but otherwise identical to the sedan. I have yet to see any test which shows the wagon quicker - if so, then someone just got a good build off the assembly line.

BTW, Faster means it has a higher top end NOT quicker acceleration.

I saw a sweet looking Blue wagon the other night and it looked soo nice. Granted, a totally different car than the s2000, but I'd have one in an instant!

I just wish Scoobie could build it's trannies a bit more stout. Because they are so affordable, kids are buying them and doing drag-style launches with no regard to their parent's investment. What happens when an irrestible force meets an immovable object? Let's see - 217 lb-ft of torque instantly dumped into an economy car drivetrain with no tire spinning slippage (with 4 tires gripping instead of two) and BAMMO! A lot of those cars are eating their trannies for breakfast: see i-club.com.
