WRX Wagon?
The WRX interior screams CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean it yells it loud.
Before I bought my S I was interested in the WRX. It was great fun to drive. But my wife convinced me that, just like with a new girlfriend, when the initial feeling wears down you gotta live with what is left. That means facing that cheap a$$ looking and feeling interior day in and day out. Cheap feeling doors, cheap feeling everything. She convinced me I would be very unhappy in short order, no matter how much fun it was.
After 6 months, the S still looks, feels, and drives like a brand new girlfriend. The feeling never wears out. I would have kicked myself if I had gone with the WRX instead of the S. I do agree 1000% that a WRX would be a terrific regular, daily driver.

I am very conflicted about the Sube WRX.
Things I like:
- Bargain price. Especially now that you can get them for a few hundred over invoice. $22,500 plus tax.
- $1,000 worth of mods (chip, up-pipe, underdrive pulley, manual boost controller, plugs) opens up 217 rear-wheel, dyno-proven, non-peaky HP. (www.vishnuperformance.com).
- AWD, some towing capacity, and wagon availability make it a very practical car for winter driving, towing motorcycles, running errands.
Things I hate:
- Looks & design, interior and exterior. Boring, economy car like, and uninspired.
- Softish suspension, weakish brakes. Although both can be addressed with more upgrades.
- You are starting to see them on every corner, and except for a handful of enthusiasts, looks to all the world like just another economy car.
