Default wtb: HPI s2000 cabin part

I've been looking for one of these for a long time. HPI makes a kit that lets you cut the top of the s2000 body and make it a ragtop with the cabin and a driver

does anyone have an extra, or know where i can find one?

thanks

I smell what you're cooking.

I just purchased my first on-road car yesterday so I was scoping lids today and kept seeing that s2k with the top down and was getting mad because I didn't like the look, I wanted a hard top. I guess that's the one for me to get.

I see that you're looking for HPI part #7098, but when I search for that, I don't find anything. You might have to call them.

I think I'm going to get that one for racing.

To S2KSuzuka;

That is correct. You need HPI7098. I was looking for one yesterday and found this:

https://www.udisco.com/hobbies/index.htm

Do a search for "hpi 7098" and the list of items will show so you can add them to your cart.

Hope this helps. I'm sure any local hobby store who distributes for HPI can call them and place an order for you. They might have a better price.

Tom

I contacted HPI, they haven't made that piece in over 4 years and have none left. I checked out that site and ordered them, Hopefully they will have them

Is it this piece? I bought it for my S2000 body and cut the top. Unfortunately, it doesn't look too good because of the gaps with it and the body. I didn't want to glue it. But on my IS300 body, you don't notice the gaps and it looks pretty nice. Keep the top on the S2000 body and it will look great. Good luck on finding one. Didn't know they stopped making it.

hard to tell for sure, but if it has roll hoops then yes that's the piece, I figured it had to be glued

That actually looks kind of awesome with a driver in there. I thought it would be silly.

Does he come clear like a normal lid? Looks like you've got some painting skills if he did.
