WTF? Carfax has 8 records on my NEW car?
I bought my car about a year ago, brand new, it had about 200 miles on it, i'm the first owner... I typed in my VIN# at carfax just to see how many records pop up, and there was 8!!!?
I've been SLIGHTLY rear ended twice, where the bumper got a little scratched up, but other then that NOTHING... what could the 8 records be? Could it be tickets I have gotten?
i could almost swear i saw a carfax forum on this site, but can't find it now, if you know i'd appreciate a link
thanks a lot if you can help!

It could just mean when you took your car in for service, smog check, change of registration (when you bought the car and they put it into your name). Usally when they log your odometer and send it in, it will show as a record.
It really is probably nothing to worry about, but of course you should always check.
Oh yeah, don't post your vin number publicly because theives use it to post phony car sales.
