wuts with confidential pricing?
why all the pms and crap instead of posting price? why dont people ever say wut they paid for a repair or paint job??? or cost to install audio??? from a consumer perspective it would help out the other consumers...why protect business' margins? let the business' fight it out and let the consumer win...
also i dont like hiding prices cuz its a pain in ass to pm back and forth back and forth...

For me, I own a detailing business. Most of the time I don't post prices on forums because of the competition. I have a set standard that I achieve for every detail, but some consumers don't realize the difference of one detailer to another but only look at price.
So say I post my price at $700 for a detail* with everything. Then the next experienced detailer says he can do a better job for $200 off, I'm not going to gain business because of the detailer charging less who claims he can do a better job. Can he? I don't know, but I'd rather not take the risk of losing a customer because Joe Detailer says he can do a better job.
So in some ways, it's beneficial to not post pricing to keep your business' afloat
.
*Not actual pricing just using an example
