I kinda feel sorry for the guy, But I'm pretty sure he ain't thinking to clearly. " I may have a docter on hand" Umm.. If I purposely cut off any part of my body, I'll damn well have 8 ambulances waiting on me!

Taht's sad. The guy is semi-paralyzed and he thinks that chopping off his feet and getting a new set of prosthetics is going to help him run again??? What kind of thinking is that???

 

What's crazy is that it wouldn't be hard to raise money in a more normal or sane way just by asking the right people for it. I can't help but think, though, that this is just another lame PR stunt put on by some second rate disc jockey...

If he actualy goes through with it, he's a moron, albeit a benevolent one. It's just completely unnecessary given the amount of money people give through benevolence every year in this country. That, IMO, should be the route to take...but what do I know?!

 

Well, I wrote him an e-mail asking him not to. I've got an old Viet Nam war buddy that lost both arms and one leg to a phosporous gernade. He lives each day with it, and has alot of life in him to. His story is very sad. But he prevailed over his own adversity and now talks to people about his experiences. He's a wonderful guy. I asked this guy to at least e-mail Bobby before he does something like this. I agree, he isn't thinking to well. If there is a slightest inkling of him recovering it's worth the effort. You can give up and take the easy way all the time. No reward. I think the guy will really regret this action in the future. I hope that he has a change of heart. I get very sad when I see things like this.

Wow, small world. I recognize the feet he wants. They're made by FlexFoot. I used to administer their computer network. I'm actually surprised they wouldn't donate him the feet for free as a publicity thing. They sponser tons of amputee sporting events for the same reason...

 

I think it is kind of freaky for him to do this, but desperation can make people do all sorts of things, and I am not him. Roll a mile in his wheelchair before judging him.

Now on to the the REAL freaks...ANYBODY that watches this thing and especially anybody who PAYS to watch it. Now that is a supersick F-ed up MF-er!!! If thats any of you on this board, DONT TELL ME that you are. I wouldnt ever want to talk to you again. We blame the media, etc for things like this, but its the stupid people who WATCH it that cause this kind of spectacle.
