X-Box
I just picked up two PS2's for my nephew's and niece. X-BOX was out of my price range.
Before you say I could have gotten one X-BOX for the price of two PS2's well... I have two nephew's from my sister and one nephew and one niece from my brother. Hence I needed two consoles.

Well what I meant was one X-BOX cheaper than two PS2s. I'm basing this off the pricing of the X-Box as I knew it. Last I saw it was going to be $399.
I guess that price is retail maybe. Or MS brought it out cheaper than I expected.

Some of the games look really good but... as a high-end PC owner I can't say the hardware excites me. My box already matches most of the true specs (see sites like Anandtech or Tomshardware for nitty gritty's) and in less than six months X-box will be the same power as a mid-range PC. After they milk Halo and other hot games it becomes an easy port over to the PC. It bugs me that the best output resolution doesn't match HDTV's 1080 spec and they cheaped out by installing only half the RAM that's already laid out on the mobo and using a sloooow (but quiet & cool running) HDD.
But yeah, I want one for X-mas too.

I have only seen the X-box listed at $299 (bundles excluded) and all of the games I've seen thus far are $49. I have since acquired NFL Fever, Dead or Alive 3 and Arctice Thunder. Dead or Alive 3 is simply the best fighting game to date. The graphics and gameplay are stunning, the new interactive environments are just amazing. NFL Fever is a good arcade style football game. I'd say it falls somewhere between NFL2K2 and Blitz. Arctic Thunder is a blast for a while but becomes monotanous after a while.
