Da Hapa

I'll go with you on that... Its all in fun...

As for my history:

I was born and raised in Oakland Ca. I've been a Yankee Fan all my life. Some Yankee greats came from the Bay Area. (Joe D. Billy Martin) to name a few. To that end my younger brother and I would jump a plane and go to Yankee Stadium two to three times a year. For the Love of the Pinstripes. We would eat at a place on river ave. called Yankee Eatery and now own it.
We have enjoyed a great run as we purchased it in June of 96.

mjcohen, as you well know now shows a deep Yankee Pride..
and I'm happy to say I'm with him on that.

Check out our site..

Luck has nothing to do with it, my friend. As I stated, I am a life long Angels fan. I have no shame in admitting the fact that we stink. At times I think we're the trainng ground, kind of an in betweend the minors and the real majors, for developing ball players. Other times, I think we're like the last stop for great players whose careers are in their twilight years (Reggie Jackson, Dave Winfield, Waly Joyner (funny that he fits in both categories).

Still, they're fun to watch. I'll always remember summer games as a kid and getting my programs and mits signed by the likes of Bob Boone, Bobby Grich, Rod Carew and Freddy Lynn.

Who knows. Maybe someday freakin' Disney will get real about the team and allow us to trade for and acquire the calibler of players that we need to suceed.

You knew instinctively the chants of "Yankees SUCK! Yankees SUCK!" on every Pedro Martinez strikeout through the first six innings of Boston 1, Yankees 0, eventually would be muted by the sight of Mariano Rivera strolling out of the bullpen and closing a game the Boston bullpen could not.

Curses

On May 30, Pedro Martinez pitched eight shutout innings, struck out 13 and the Red Sox beat the Yankees at Fenway Park, 3-0. Afterward, Martinez said he was tired of talking about the Yankees and the curse of Babe Ruth. "Why don't we just wake up the Bambino, and maybe I'll drill him in the ass?" The Bambino must have heard, because it's the Red Sox who have been getting drilled since:

What happen to your NY Logo?
Oh baby how do pitch 23+ scoreless innings and lose all three games Pedro? Seems you woke the Yankees up with your sad A-- remarks.
All I can say is 27 I'm in heaven!
