I met a guy at a wedding a couple months ago who grew up in a town of about 1000 people. His "date" to the wedding was the girl who was his beard for most of high school. Pretty funny, she knew he was gay the whole time but she figured having a gay boyfriend was better than being single.

This is completely unrelated to your story, but I thought it was amusing.
