monks are supposed to be about humbleness. I doubt the demand for apologies came from Shaolin.

I've had an opportunity to meet a group of real Shaolin monks from China. They were one of the most wholesome, simple, and humble groups of human beings I've ever met. They had an aura of calmness and dignity about them.
