mmmm...so much for the abundance of CONGRATS and WELCOME ABOARD messages!
ahah never mind...here's the low down... I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and bought the car via a 'grey' or parallel importer as Honda Malaysia don't sell the vehicle.
These importers have a tendancy to 'turn-back' the clock on the year of manufacture of the vehicle in order to pay lower import taxes.
So, my car maybe a 2000 after all. Who knows. All I know is that nothing is gonna rain on my parade!

No, no no no no.....The S2000 did come out in 99. It just didnt do it in the US. We're always the last to get something cool. Once again Hoenda, congrats on your new car. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we do....Just dont be a Dirk and go racing a NOVA!!!

It would appear that Honda S2000 owners are some of the nicest, most fun and helpful (lest we not forget the epic battle of poor RUSS v CLOVIS + the rest of the world...on the 225 rear vs the 245 debate!)

As Quick S2K mentioned there was a 1999 S2000 in Japan.
