I got a degree in Electronic Engineering (equivalent to a BSEE in the US).
I switched to IT after a few years because I came to the US and saw where the money was.
Having figured out that an IT career involves (in most cases) major burnout, stress, and an income level that doesn't meet my desired lifestyle, I'm working on Plan B.

Yup....I majored in casino/restaurant/bar/hotel management, and thats what I do. I manage 2 bars, used to manage a 5000 people concert hall, and am opening up 2 bars that s2ki nuts would love to come too. (Cant give out the idea yet)

I studied Civil engineering and did my compulsory work experience after 3 years and I haven't left yet, finishing my commerce degree still now (combined Eng/comm) and I love the area that I chose. A lot of people I went through uni with aren't working as engineers now so I feel really lucky that I didn't waste my time at uni on something I didn't really like.
