is your religion ....Jedi?
Wait till the Jedi control the Senate. ... "According to this Theage.com.au article, the Australian Government has issued yet another warning to Star Wars fans intent on writing in 'Jedi' as their religion in the upcoming census. It appears that this e-mail is beginning to pick up some steam."

quite a funny idea to throw things off balance.

this email has been doing the rounds for months...
exactly the same mail was on circulation in the UK a couple of months ago, just prior to the first comprehensive national census in ages.
How amusing that the Australian government are trying to scare people by threatening to prosecute them if they incorrectly fill in their forms with "Jedi" as their religion. Can you imagine...
1) The adverse publicity they would actually attract by taking such a person to court
2) The amusing court-room antics that would ensue, as the Australian prosecutor attempted to prove that the defendant WASNT a real "Jedi"!!

"the force is all around us, and there is nothing that can disprove that I am a Jedi."
thats hilarous.. theres enough star wars nuts out there that are probably truely convenced that they are jedi.. i really hope if they take any of them to court that they ship Judge Mills Lane over there..
and televise it.. that would be hilarous.. Mills rippin some fazor brandishing geek a new one. as the guy trys to use the 'force' to levitate.. putting so much effort into it he shyts himself on live tv.. now thats primetime!

The ABS are kidding themselves. The forms are a pain to fill out but they have absolutely no possible way of tracing a form back to a household. Certainly not do that and maintain a criminal onus of proof which is required for a prosecution.
Go for it, you Jedis out there!!
