The whole copyright infringement arguement is horsepoop. If its a video that nobody is making any money off of it who cares? If "Chocolate Rain" was copyrighted that would have killed all the fun.

So if some couple makes a crappy video of themselves to show at their wedding and uses U2's "Beautiful Day" in the background, does that mean the record company should start crashing wedding receptions and shutting down videos?

Not that someone would make such a cheesy video for their wedding with that song in it. Well, unless their fiance was nagging them to do it. She can be pretty pushy and withhold things you know.
