Sorry about the bad info in my previous post. I went out with a flashlight and looked at my inner fender well (driver side) and it looked just like this previous post.

Car was run for 10 autocross runs with 255 Star Specs on 17X9 .63's all around. 2004 with Stock suspension and Saner bar on full stiff.

I'm running a much stiffer front sway bar + springs + rolled fenders....
The plan for me is to do the same, hence the discouragement. I'm thinking a spacer will be required (who sells them)? It seems easier to deal with a slight roll in the front than inner-body rubbing. I'm not so stoked on Auto-X anymore, but the plan was to use these wheels to turn my car into an STR competitor, so I would like to stay within the rules. One of them states in so many words that you can't flare the fenders, but I think I'd be able to roll the inner lips on them without flaring....

yeah since these don't rub on the fender I would think you could roll the fender and add a small spacer and hopefully solve the issue.

I ordered a set of 17x10 72mm Nickel finish for all 4 corners for street use / auto-x when I don't want to change tires (RA-1s in 275/40/17 size ordered from TreadDepot.com). Will post pics up once they arrive.

Nickel finish you guys have posted looks GREAT. I was thinking they were a little chrome-ish on the 949 site, but the pics here look awesome - perfect finish for my tastes.

My calcs show I'll need an 8.5 mm spacer to get the exact location of outer wheel edge to fender edge similar to my 18x10 CCWs up front (with 285/30/18) per pics at this link. With my current setup on the CCWs, I have some heavily rolled (augmented is probably more accurate) fenders and zero rub even at full lock.

Keep posting the pics - these look like a great setup.

Tungsten 17x9, 63 with 255/40 & 17x10, 72 with 275/40. Have to get black lug nuts. Stock suspension, no fender mods, no spacers, no rubbing. Like the wheels although the color is a bit darker than I expected.
