I've decided to run 17x9 +40 (they are +45, but based on this thread, I will probably run 5mm spacers all around)
The car's arches are slightly pulled in the front, and the rear is rolled.

I'm trying to decide on tire sizes. The car will be pretty damn low.

Any help? Currently I'm thinking 225/40 and 245/40. I don't want to destroy my fenders, that's priority number 1.

Thanks!

So long as your fenders and quarters are rolled, you should be fine with those size. Just be sure to test fit the wheels and tires and roll to suit, or increase camber for additional clearance. You have a pretty tame setup, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Run the spacer in rear only, will help with fender clearance and the "staggered" look you want. For a 225 front, the correct sidewall profile would be 225/45. I'd run one of the following combination of tires:

225/45, 255/40 (very common)
235/40, 245/40
235/40, 255/40
245/40 all around
255/40 all around

Bump for by far the best thread so far.
I am after some help/advice.

I am looking to fit 17 x 9 et30 square setup.
I know i will require fender/bumper tab relocation and possibly a roll front arch is that right?
I know these wheels fit as i have seen a few pictures online of s2000's with the wheel that i want to fit but can't seem to find much information about it.
Closest i can find is 17x9 with a 35 et

Any help is much so appreciated

You will definitely need to roll all corners, pull the fronts, maybe pull the rears. Another set up similar to yours would be 17x9.5 +35 and they usually run 255 or 245 square depending on tires brand/model and ride height. You will need at least -3 to -3.5 camber.

Ok thank you
Is that much camber achievable without any other mods?
I have got bc coilovers already fitted to my car. Sorry i have no clue about offsets camber etc

Depends on ride height, but the most I have been able to get out of my stock adjustment was -3.3 in the rear, never maxed out my fronts.

18x9.5 +45 265/35 square: front and rear fenders were rolled and pulled, rear bumper tab relocated and trimmed, rear bumper trimmed, -2.5 front and -3.3 rear.

Hi Guys, I'm back. I should be getting the car tomorrow! (EEEK!) So I'm about to order wheels.

I have a couple options and I was hoping for some advice.

Please note, I want the car very close to the ground, and DO NOT mind running small tires. The car will NOT be a daily driver, and it will NOT be tracked.

The wheels come in 17x9 +45. I have 2 sets of 5mm spacers, so I can theoretically make them 17x9 +40 all around. I have the option of doing custom offsets for a nominal fee.

Front: 17x9 +45 215/45

Rear: 17x9 +45 235/40

I decided on these sizes because I want the car very low, but do not want to cave the rear quarter or buckle the fenders. I'm sure I can fit crazier sizes, so does anyone have any other recommendations?

here is the car so you can get an idea of the arch work:

And what the car looked like at one point:

Thank you so much for your help!

I'm unsure now. As i think that will be a lot of work for rims that are not exactly "bad ass" Yeah they are wide. And lightweight. But they lack the wow factor of a lot of the rims you guys are running........sooooo my dilemma is. Buy and make them fit. Or save up and get some better rims with better fitment. I.e 17 x 9 but et45???
Any suggestions?
