ok guys...need your input/help/opinions on this.

i want to go 17x9 +38 . I have been exchanging pm's with Dorby on this as he had this setup. But just wanted to see what everyone elses input was...

running 225/40/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. Stretching a 225 over 9" wheel, is that dangerous for freeway driving?

Also i have rolled front and rear guards. Perhaps even willing to pull/pump/ flare front guards if need be.

What else would need to be done to run this setup?

Also i like my car slammed. So aiming to have the tyres slightly tucked under guards or real close it.

please help!

A 225 over a 9" wheel is a stretch but it will be fine for freeway driving. Most drift setups run 235's over a 9.5" in the front. I ran this same setup on my 240 and drove it daily.

As for what else you might need, I would suggest the obvious pulling and rolling of the front fender, and rolling and relocating the bumper tab in the rear. I would also invest in some form of a camber kit for fronts and rear if you really want your car to be slammed. You are going to have to tuck them in as much as possible to do so.

you can run i think up to -4 in rear and -2.6 in front on stock adjustments.

btw dorby was on a x9.5 +38

225 on a 9 is an easy stretch. I think he ran 245/225 stagger on his set of rpf1's
