Thanks for the information pboi and teaspoonguy. I just wanted to confirm the offset of my rims. Couldn't tell since they have been power coated. Ill post up pics soon

thanks gents! its 17x8.5 +40 with 255/40 ZII LOVING every second so far... other than the one second it took to hurt my fender lol. looking forward to dropping it off at the bodyshop just as soon as i beat on it a bit and make sure it pretty much never rubs haha

On top of what TEASPOONGUY said there are a few variations of the Face 1 as well. The 17x9 +63 looks very difference from the 17x9 +40. I do understand what you are saying though about the faces in relation to lip size and shape of face though and I think your post does cover the different face types. It seems that within Face 1 though the spokes are slightly different. I think on Face 2 & 3 the spokes are always the same.

This thread is really making me want some Volks too

Yea i was just trying to give a general description. but there are alot of combo variations.

And you did a good job of showing it, not trying to take away from that. Simply stating that there is a whole additional level of detail to the faces. Personally the Face 2 is my favorite.

I feel like expanding the original post with more examples and sizes/offsets would be massively beneficial to people looking at picking up a set of CE's.
