Looks can be deceiving. It's at the shop now getting the diez 15mm makeover.

^^^yes. That angle is deceiving, but the re71's fit nice and snug. This was when I dropped the car off at the body shop. Fenders were cut in that pic

That's pretty much how my 17x9 +45 w/255's are sitting up front right now, and I don't have any issues (yet).
