Offical VOLK Racing Wheel Thread!
Happy new Volk Day to me, Happy new Volk Day to me...
My four 17x9 +63 Formula Silver / Diamond Cut lip CE28N's arrived from Japan the other day, and I'm hoping to have them rubberized and on the car by tomorrow. I have to say, the finish on these wheels is spectacular! I was grinning ear to ear when I pried open those "Japan Power" boxes. I love the way the color shifts with light on the Formula Silver, and the paint job is flawless. I almost went with bronze, but I have those on my NA Miata currently, so I figured I'd go a different way with the S. I've had 4-5 sets of Rays/Volk wheels on various cars over the past 20 years, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. They really are the biznass.
*edit* Got them on today. It looks like a monster truck on the stock suspension, so I need to fix that. Big Foot S2K...vroom!
I also got the Formula Type high center caps and they went on smoothly and don't seem to interfere. They are really slick, and are nice little pieces of jewelry. I also went with the Muteki SR45R lug nuts. I have to say I was impressed with those as well. I love the knurling on the ends, and I can't imagine I'll ever round these things like I have some of the other types I've used in the past.

While I'm at it, here are some bonus pics of my past Rays wheels:
My trusty old '03 Nissan 350Z with Gram Light 57 Pro's:

My current track toy, a '92 Miata with 14" CE's (7 lbs. each!)

And last but certainly not least...my previous track toy '03 C5 Z06 with 18" TE's. To my knowledge, the only set ever made for a Corvette. Now that's something you don't see every day!
