I'm always tempted to pick up a set of Volk TE-37 rims, but I tend to quash that temptation by re-painting my existing rims.

So I decided to refinish my JDM OEM Ap1 BBS rims in a darker blue colour. The previous colour was along the lines of Volk Hyper blue/F-zero blue, this is a darker blue but not quite as dark as mag blue. The interior barrels were painted and clearcoated same as the faces, it keeps those road tar turds from sticking inside the wheel, man I hate those things.

I'm always amazed how lightweight these rims are when I have no rubber on them. I've got a cat that weighs as much as two rims put together, lol. There would be no weight advantage going to a Volk rim. I'm liking the new colour.

18 LM's look the best for the S2k, skip the 17's they don't do them justice. Go for the 18's they are world difference for the S2k as far as looks wise.

Hi !

like written before I wanna buy the 18 inch LM 171 / 172 here in Germany and still have some questions where you might help me out.

Price and Condition:
Purchase price: 1700€ so ~ 1850$.
They have been refurbished and look quite good with minor small scratches on the chrome. Wheels are also included but Im going to replace them anyway.

Do you think this price is reasonable?

2nd and more important for me due to I dont know the original specs:
The current owner has just fake BBS center caps on the wheels and they are glued from the back to hold on the wheel.

How do the original center caps look like and how are they mounted?
Can I still purchase them?

Is the fact the original caps are missing a reason not to buy the wheels or ask for a reduced price?

Final Question: Does somebody know the oem BBS color code for the silver?
Appreciate your feedback !
