Does anyone else here have or seen a AP1 thats in laguna blue pearl? I have a 2002 AP1 that was repainted in that color so i was wondering if my car basically one of one now. ( my dad repainted it when he got the car back in like 06-08 i dont think he liked the original sazuka blue he owns a body shop that does great paint work)

Laguna Blue is not a standard AP1 color. It was only available starting in 06. I'm sure other AP1's exist in LBP but not directly from Honda.

Yeah I understand that that’s why I’m asking if my car basically one of one now bc of the color. Only AP1 painted laguna blue pearl it seems like. I guess other people might have also done the same thing but I haven’t been able to find an example. I like my car having something unique about it gonna do a anime wrap / stickers soon( not full wrap just stickers on hood and sides.

If the color isn't unique, the anime wrap/stickers will surely make it so. Enjoy your car.

i realize i'm bumping an old comment, but did your dad ever give you any indication of the value put into that paintjob? I'd be interested to see pictures if you still have it.

To answer your question almost every single person I've seen repaint an AP1 an OEM color opted to do a different color. I've seen 3 distinct in Apex Blue Pearl ( CR only color) , two in Imola Orange which was never available in the USDM, one local car in Moon Rock, and one out of Chicago in Lime Green.

I would have a very tough choice because you're paying a lot for a paint job and many OEM colors I have a passion for. Black Berry Pearl I had on my 2008 Honda Fit and I think it'd look incredible on the s2000, but chances are if I repainted an AP1 it would be a choice between a LBP or ABP. Enthusiasts would be able to spot that neither was available from the factory, but I think repainting an AP2 doesn't make as much sense because both of those colors were available.
