^^^TWM gives you a locking nut with their shift knobs so that you can adjust and align the shift knob.

But then it will sit really high like the stock knob because of the locking nut, correct?

Before you put the knob on put a little bit of blue thread lock on the threads. Then screw the knob all the way down, and back it off until the pattern is aligned.

This way you can get it as low as possible. Just make sure to use the blue thread lock, non permanent, and only use a little.

it's not quite as obstructive as the OEM lock nut type:
