Lowered on Spec-R springs on AP1 shocks, 15mm front and 20mm rear with just a roll. Stock tire sizes.

Will 15mm all a round fit without any fender and bodywork?
If yes, what is the lowest possible ride height to pull this of?

i am running oem ap2v1 with 215/45r17 & 245/40R Ad08r on buddy club n+ spec coilovers.

quoting to bump the thread, but i am curious as well.

my car currently has rolled and pulled fenders, rear bumper tab relocation and fortune auto 500 coils but i want to get AP2V3 wheels with spacers back on it, new oem fenders and lower it to where i can without ANY body work done to the fenders. i want to keep the fender liners too. would love some input from anyone that has some actual experience!

What are you wanting to know? With that combo (AP2V3)) you’ll have to bore out the indents in the back of the wheel to clear the OEM studs after attaching the DRM spacer. With OEM front fenders you can run a 15mm with liners. With the rear tab already relocated you can run a 20mm spacer. I run with almost no finger gap and it’s perfect. 100% untouched fenders all around.

This is a summary thread sharing all my info on oem rims in one place. Before we start, let's share the basic specs:

my car: Dropped on Tien Flex coilovers with 1 finger gap, no fenders rolled

OEM s2000 AP2 rims:
17x7, +55
17x8.5, +65

OEM 02+ NSX rims:
17x7, +60
17x9, +56

For some reason when I did a search and asked around, no one knew the ideal final offets we needed to run on OEM ap2 rims on FACTORY TIRE SIZES.

I've ran various aftermarket rims/tires (Work, Volk, SSR) and none of them really had the look I wanted. I then tried a set of OEM NSX 2002+ rims and the rears fit PERFECT while the fronts needed a 15mm spacer to sit correctly.

*Note the OEM NSX front rim is 5mm LESS aggressive than our stock AP2 rims so using a 15mm spacer effectively means I'm getting 10mm more width per side, make sense? Since the NSX wheels are out for powdercoating, I am running the factory ap2 rims/tires again for now.

After testing a few different spacers, here's what I found that works:

ON AP2 OEM RIMS
Rears: Use 15-25mm H/R Integral spacers and the rubber fits flush on fenders
Fronts: Use 15mm H/R DRS Spacers with longer studs

ON NSX OEM RIMS
Rears: No SPACER NEEDED
Fronts: Use 15mm H/R DRS Spacers with longer studs

hope this info helps since I think the OEM wheels still look best!

*UPDATE: 2/1/09: I ended up testing both 15mm and 25mm rears....

Pictures of the 15mm and 25mm Integral spacers (used on rear wheels)

Note you can ONLY use the 25mm spacers if your wheels do not have the recessed cutouts or the nuts will hit the wheel
Attachment 122106

Note the recesed hubs on the back of the ap2 wheels but not the nsx wheels?

DRS 15mm spacers with EXTENDED STUDS on front of car:

I've read the entire thread series and just want some final clarification, I have a 00' S2K and just purchased AP2 wheels with the 16-17mm dimples inside the new wheels. I'm considering adding H&R 20MM spacers in the front and 25" for the rears.

Question: Will this setup be suitable without having to modify the stock studs?

Read the entire thread, but want to have some clarificaiton. I have an 00' AP1 and just purchased some AP2 wheels. The AP2 wheels have the recesses dimples that measure about 17mm deep. I do not intend to lower the car.

Question: Will 20mm (front) and 25mm (rear) H&R spacers work without having to modify the stock studs?

Thanks!
