Overbuilt? This is for wheel to wheel competition, not to look good at some car show. 3000 lbs hurtling along at 120+ with someone right next to him going for the same turn. Underbuilt is not an option

I would have liked to have put a few more bars in but had to work within the guys budget.

Pile of interior pieces:

^^^I highly recommend picking up some interior removal tools. There are plastic tools in all different shapes/sizes to remove pop clips and panels without breaking things. They also won't scratch your interior panels because they're plastic. Easily worth their weight in gold for a project like this.

Bar in and taped off to prevent scratches while working around it.

Completed: (Padding only looks purplish in pictures, in person it matches the bars perfectly)

I kept the interior and trimmed to fit around the bar. Working the interior to make everything fit like OEM was very time consuming. However, in the end I'm very happy that I chose to do so. No squeaks have presented themselves yet (top up or down), which to me shows the amount of time I spent making it work was a worthy investment.

One other thing installed at the same time

I have the similar bar with bolt on Diagonal. Havent get a chance to install it. Did you have help ? how long did it take you to install it? I guess you had to keep the stock roll hoop for the stock seat belt brackets?

I did have help. It took about 2.5 (approx. 6 hours each day) days to install it. However, that was taking our time and trimming each interior piece meticulously. We were also very conscious of the fact I didn't want the interior to be full of rattles. If we didn't re-install the interior it would've taken about 1 full day between the two of us.

I forgot to mention. For inside the rear wheel well we used expanding foam to fill the opening. Cut foam so it's level with the wheel well. I then used truck bed liner/undercoating to build up and fill in the pores on the foam. I'm confident I won't be getting any moisture in there.

Having the bolt in diagonal will make putting the center console back in easier for you, if you choose to reinstall interior. I kept the stock roll hoops for 1. the stock seat belt mounts and 2. to keep the interior as OEM looking as possible.
