Any Advice For Replacing Front Bumper?
As my daily driver S2K approaches 50k miles, I have noticed a lot of scratches, abrasions on my front bumper. There is also a 4" diameter chip in the paint where I met up with a racoon earlier this spring.
I am not sure what the best solution is. Should I try to get a replacement front bumper? An aftermarket piece or is repair possible? As a student, I don't have much money at my disposal.
Any advice or pictures of bumpers would be much appreciated. On a side note. I have also been wanting to replace my rear plastic window with the glass one. Has anyone done this, know of the cost or where to get it done?
One more thing, the last time I used my convertible top cover, I broke off the screws and tore the cover. So, I guess the cover is ruined and I have the screws/snaps stuck in the car. I wonder if there are any TSBs related to the cover or rear plastic window.
Thanks for any help,
Matt

Even if you got a replacement front bumper, you'd have to get it painted. I know on other cars that I've had, replacement bumpers come unpainted and the body shop matches the paint. So you're better off taking it to a body shop and letting them do their magic. Just make sure you get a find a reputable shop. It's posts like yours that make me glad I installed a clear bra when I bought my car.
Replacing your rear window with glass isn't that easy. The frame is different. You can do a search and read about people that have discussed this. You may be better off trying to find someone that has totaled their car and has an entire ragtop to sell.
I've never seen any TSBs on the boot cover. If you look in the For Sale & Wanted forum, you can occasionally find someone selling their boot cover.
