Once you clear the lights, if you keep the orange bulbs it reflects in the headlight and still looks amber. You have two choices to correct this: spend 30-50 bucks on silver coated bulbs, or put a light coat of high temp silver paint on the amber bulbs for 2 bucks. The bulbs still reflect amber through the paint.

I am so nervous about the HIDs though

aren't there special considerations with them or are they just pluggin in and out like regular headlights?

ok but aren't the stock bulbs that are in there clear anyway?

They are clear, but you need to have amber for a chance to remain legal.

Thats what I figured. I bought all the amber bulbs so I'm ready for my conversion... Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Can it be painted whatever color you want or does silver show the least?

Hey, did you paint the entire bulb silver.... I looked at Dave's posts and he only does part of it
