I'll go too. I love to shoot my Ruger Slabside .22 target pistol with red dot scope. That sucker can hit a flea between the eyes.

This time we'll go to Blackwing Shooting Center.

Impressive...I got my permit to carry about 4 months ago...gotta go and pick a gun. Any suggestions? The only gun I've ever shot is a .22 rifle.

I plan to take some range courses to sharpen my skill. I need to be ready for WTD.

you would like the Sigs most likely, you may try Glock also for your first handgun

Yes, and killing your dog the cat the fish and the bird with the same spread.
The pattern with a legal barral would only be about 5 in. in diameter out to around 35 ft.

Both guns are very reliable and easy to fix. Some say that the Glock is an ugly gun, and it is, and some (few) shoot all over the place. But when it is used as a defensive weapon, which will be at close range, an inch doesn't matter.
I prefer Sig's myself, but they are double action, while the Glock is double action ONLY, it is easier to use as a beginner. The price is also better.

As far as caliber....9mm, .40 cal, and .45 are the most popular.
How much recoil do you want?
