Front Plate in OH???
Okay, I am thinking of running without my front plate and wanted to post a poll to see what other Ohioans have experienced. Thanks in advance for your input!

i wouldn't recommend it, OHP are usually pricks. they have tried to give me a ticket for no front plate (live in IN), then they realize i don't have to have one?? when i lived in ohio (from there, dayton) they gave me 2 tickets for not having a plate on the front of my 93' z/28.
just move to Indiana.

I've spoken with lots of people who never had a front plate, be it on their Accord, S2000 or truck, and none of them have ever been hassled. I also spoke with a Cleveland cop friend, and he was of the opinion that you probably wouldn't be hassled unless the cop is looking for some reason to pull you over, like being in the 'wrong' part of town at the wrong time.
I've once gotten a front plate ticket, but that was in conjunction with a speeding ticket in my old CRX (the plate had actually fallen off). In the S, though, even an OHP cop running laser didn't give me a second look (as far as I know!)

Have lived in Ohio 6 years, never had a front plate on my Civic. Only was told once by cop that I needed one when I was stopped for speeding about 3 years ago. 8 months without one on the S - no issues.

I got a ticket in May for not having a ticket, although it was in Dublin and I was returning from an auto-x with the numbers still on the side of my car. The cops are just bored here. Then I finally just put the front on the Impreza
I'll see how long I can go on my AE86 without one

This is my first car I haven't had the front plate on. I've had it for 15 months and have had a lot of police see me coming towards them. Have had no problems. I agree with JonasM on this one. If you don't give the police a reason to pull you over, you shouldn't have a problem with the missing plate.

I don't run one on my ITR (since 2000).
I've gotten pulled over once for it, but not ticketed (2 AM - looking for drunk driving I think)
(Bowling Green)
Another time I got pulled over in the afternoon for NO PLATES!
He said, "We're pulling people over who don't have front plates on".
$75 fine. (This was in Columbus)
I still don't run one.

Based on past experience, I'd wager that a New Rome officer would stop and ticket you for no front plate if they got the chance; they'd enforce the fine as well.
