Default Introduction, need help?

Hello all,
My name is Jeremy and I live in springfield. I have owned my '01 spa since January of 2015 and boy what a year it's been. Haven't really posted much on here, and there is already such great technical write ups its hard to contribute. Since owning my car I have changed to koni yellow sport shocks with stock springs for a little adjustment when I autox and on the softest setting they are a little softer than stock so great on the ride. I also put on a set of dunlop direzza zII star specs with the struts and wow those are great. Just changed out the backs in march since they were bald after apox 10k miles with some heavy autox since my project integra was down most of the year. I have done all the maintenance and thoroughly enjoy working on this car, everything is so easy. Pulled the engine/trans over the winter because I can. I wanted to get familiar with this car since my other Hondas are all FWD. Replaced the clutch while I was there along with all rubber hoses and fluids. Also installed hardrace rigid collars for the subframes. I work for Honda in Marysville and get a great discount on parts if your local and need some. Well that was a long introduction. Any how if you need any help with your car feel free to stop by I'm free most weekends and will work for food! Just want to meet new friends and help out fellow owners who may not be mechanically inclined. Now for the pics!

Stunning car!

The 3d photo was a little scary as that's where some of us end up taking corners too fast!

How were the subframes when you did all this work over the winter? Bolts good? Etc? See, there IS technical data you can contribute. I mainly watch and sometimes get to hand tools to the experts.

I had already dropped the front subframe to drop the engine which is why I decided to install them, already had half the work done. As far as installation goes the car was on jack stands as I dont have a lift. one can dream, and on blocks of 2x4's which added an extra 6" of ground clearance. The rear was kind of a pain in the a**, you use a jack to support the diff/subframe and lower the subframe onthe six bolts, however the back bolts are not quite as long as the front subframe bolts so they were maybe screwed in 1/2" which was kind of scary. When you do this you have to try and lower the subframe evenly or this creates problems once you install the rigid collars. Once you have the collars installed run the bolts up a little at a time evenly raising the subframe, if it is not even it will bind as the collars are a tight fit, and what ever you do don't try and just run the bolts in and draw the collars up, they are aluminium and will bend and contort out of shape. The front was fine because Honda provided 1 ft long bolts that were designed to lower the subframe for trans removal. My car had 46k miles on it when I got it and doesn't look like it has ever seen a winter so all my bolts came out with ease, just broke em loose with a breaker bar and used my cordless impact the rest of the way. Your bolts may vary, after my alignment my guy said my right front caster adjustment was frozen, the bolt came loose but the bushing was frozen in the frame. Plan to tackle that next winter. I've seen speed academys video and that doesn't look fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvK0...gnWEWOPPuWMsFG

PS that third picture I took while visiting family in florida, it was an empty for sale lot next to a lake and I figured I would pull over for a photo shoot

thanks, jeremy

Welcome to the forum!!!

Many of us know Pister from different events (arthritis foundation, midnohio, and random other events). He used to host a mod day at the dealership too. I know him and his sister (jen) actually. I bought my CR from them.
