Default Mid-Winter Thaw

Even though the rain has been non stop with these warm temps, I was very much tempted to pull my S out for a quick drive. I'm confident most of the salt was washed away at this point and such.

However, I decided against it, the mature adult reminding me that the little lack of insurance thing might catch up to me.

Anyone that normally keeps their S locked up for the winter fall victim to temptation and take it out for a quick hoon?

I'm getting automotive cabin fever real bad...

I backed the NSX out of the garage and let is idle for a few minutes, then put it back in the garage and put the cover back on.

I got my S2000 out and drove around yesterday. I'm not exactly in storage mode tho, it's just sitting in my garage waiting for the good days. Then again I have insurance on it year round so it's not risky for me to take it out, but I wouldn't drive if you aren't covered

Last time I took mine out was two or three weeks ago when it got up to 60-ish with no rain. Then I put it back in storage.

This is my first winter with the car... I'm not sure how you guys stand it!

My Accord is fun to drive (and even faster than my S), but its nowhere near a driving experience like the S. Every morning when I pull out of my garage I cry a little on the inside just looking at her sitting all covered up and wanting to be driven...

To those who have their cars in storage, do you take your battery out or do you put a battery tender on it?

i've done both.. this year i was lazy and put the battery tender on...

i even left the track wheels on.. usually i pull them off and leave the car on donuts... since my car is on the other side of town, the car has been pretty badly neglected..

which reminds me... i'm 1/2 tempted to take the car somewhere to have it detailed this spring... i haven't had the time to keep up with the car in terms of exterior and interior cleanup for two years..

Battery tender is the way I go. Easy and very little work.
