Our blood types are partly responsible. Mostly she's premature by 3.5 weeks and the liver is the last of the organs to develop fully. They only expect her to be in this for a few days. Her bilirubin (caused by a natural breakdown of red blood cells from the Placenta) levels have already declined in the 12 hours she has worn this. UV light breaks down bilirubin in the skin much quicker than the childs small liver.
