Cars of the future won't even have a controls. You'll get it and punch in your destiantion, the car will do the rest. Of course you'll have to go the posted speed limit.

That would be good for the leaders of the Cincy WTD group while going through the Parkway

The super thing about that is that it will all be computer controlled so ideally the cars will travel and at greater speeds because crashes will be a mathematical impossiblity with the software that controls the system. That is, until it gets hacked. Then, of course, everyone will be Pwned

Doesn't seem like all that bad of an idea honestly, in its "initial application" like they're stating. Only used for habitual/criminal speeders. So if you get caught going 130 on I-270 a few times, they give you one of these things for a while.....

I don't think that in our lifetimes we'll see anything like this be a required car feature, or for that matter, cars that drive themselves. Even though technology advances "exponentially" through the years, we're still a *long* ways off from an entirely automated traffic/transportation system. =) Still an interesting thought, though.

I'd rather just hop on a SCRAMJet and get from NYC to Tokyo in 2 hours. That technology will be first I think. =)
