Problem is..keeping rims on stock is a very expensive proposition.i think one of the reasons stores run group buys is because they are able to offer a reduced rate without having to factor in overhead costs.
Steve, I like the idea of carrying 5 or 6 quality product lines, but how easy would it be for an upstart company to carry those quality lines. (Mugen, for example... only has 1 NA distributor.. King... and then the only places I think also resell Mugen are AJR and R&D).
I still say it's a tough venture, but then again, I don't know what the mod-market looks like... the only mod I can pay for these days is gas
keeping stuff in stock is definately a bizzznatch. make BUBBLE TEA!!!!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with OEM I bet M-tec (Mugen) would sell direct to me if I offered a 250K stocking order.I bet the same would hold true for Spoon.

The biggest bitch I have with the advertisers on S2Ki is few have anything in stock.Too damn many backorders with 6 month lead times.
The reality of this business is that no one can stock $5000 Mugen hardtops and have them sit around for two years in a small tuner shop. It's all about cash flow. I'm going to start investigating it a little more now that i have a few minutes of free time.

Oh please, you dish it out, but you cant take it, we all know your the main one to bash alot of people on here and are far worse then me.

Im going to get banned huh, are you acting like a moderator again, too. Remeber when you PM'ed Mike (110motoring) telling him he better change his name or your going to remove him from the site

Ok im done.

Back on track, there are a number of decent shops around here depending on what exactly you want, Switzer is 15-20 mins from Ganley and have a brand new dyno, and can get some JDM parts. Shearer motorsports down in Cleveland is a excellent fab shop if you want a one off unique part.

all ohio shops SUCK.

there is not one shop anywhere that can FAB, INSTALL OR TUNE.

my race car that I BUILT from scratch is better than any performance shop around here. when they see it they drool and ask me who built it when i say myself they flip. When some random dude has a better car than a full blown shop they SUCK!
I think we found 9-BAR

rich.one more thing that i would advise on would be finding a good tuner/installer. i think a lot of the things that have been tossed around here have to do with installation and tuning rather than the parts.

also, like you posted above, keeping mugen hardtops in stock will eat you alive. i think keeping parts from spoon, mugen, etc would be great, but i think you need the focus to be beyond honda parts...

good luck with your research
