Snapped these tonight while i watering the plants. As fast as it flies and moves, i thought it was some type of odd looking hummingbird, but as it turns out, it's a Hummingbird Moth.

I remember many years ago, I was watering a bed of Impatiens with the garden hose. I watched a hummingbird for about 10 minutes before I noticed that it had antennae and 6 legs! And a great big coiled proboscis! They're pretty amazing.
I've seen two kinds: one colored exactly like a hummingbird and the other colored like a bumble bee. I've never seen one like your pictures.
And let me add that those are great photographs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
