Again, true to form, I'm going away from the usual "threads" and going into a completely different line of questioning.
What sort of camera is everyone using for movie pics? I've seen a few posted in the past and was wondering.
Not still imaging (I have a digital camera for that), but rather, for videos from roadtrips, gatherings, etc... I'm thinking about getting a DV camera.
Any suggestions, input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Possibly next month, me and my friend will be making a wacky film on Route 26 using a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria with the Handling and Performance package. We will probably be using either a Sony DV camcorder or a regular Sony Hi8mm camcorder. We are leaning towards the Sony DV since it's a lot smaller and is going to be easier to mount to the windshield using those suction cup things. My friend ownes both camcorders, and I have to say that i'm impressed with his digital one that uses those small wierd looking DV tapes. Not only is the picture quality incredible, but it's so small and light that you might mistake it for a digital camera, or a regular pocket camera.

 

I have a JVC MiniDV cam and am very happy with it. I love the fact that the media is digital so nothing is lost importing it into the PC, burning to CD, etc...
