OK here it is pecker pole lovers

springs on stocks struts ......maybe on a civic or integra, on an s2k, it should never cross your mind.

i have been in several cars with coilover s2ks, civics, supras, porsches, etc you get the point. On a honda and this seems do be on all models the Buddy Clubs ride like a ton of bricks which i guess is good for the track, if i was goin to drive the snot out of my car theres no way i would get BCs. I am not impressed with their quality either . I have the tein Flex's on my civic and i focking love them, they ride really good and i can drive right onto a track and give it hell. I dont road race it, I Drag it and they work just fine. i have been in s2ks with them as well and they are excellent. the edfc is a cool feature but i wouldnt get it unless i got a smoking deal on it. TEIN has one of the best lines of coils out there by far and they have tons to choose from for every drivers needs. For example the Tein Circuit Master Racing Damper is one of the best coil over systems on the face of the earth. whoever said tein is junk knows nothing about tein.

Tein Circuit Master Racing Damper
For finer settings, total of 256 different kinds of damping force settings (16 levels for compression x 16 levels for rebound) are available, by adding the systems both at base valve and piston rod. Use of specially shaped needle valve enables linear damping force adjustment at each and every 16 levels.

that to me shows alot of Rnd and brains behind their product line. i strongly recommend tein. they have great pricing also.
check it

there are other brands out there also that rock like KW(KW Variant 3 Coilover Kit), ZEAL ( Function S6 ), COMPTECH-KONI, JIC (FLTA2), HKS, TODA its endless but half of these JDM brands i just said cost a fortune and no one knows how they feel etc..

to each his own

I amended my post. So sorry. I just think with this subject you are going to get so many different opinions, you'll be back to square one when it's over. I did not go springs without reading up on the subject and speaking to people I trust. The final mind set was " for $100, try it."
I was pretty confident that I was not going to destroy my car with the mod. Your best bet is to PM folks who have actually dropped their car and see if they had any issues. That is what I did.

You make this statement, then do nothing but post a bunch of BS about track this and drag this. Not all of us drag and track. How about some actual data on why springs on stock struts should not cross our minds... Einstein.

A lowering spring does not have to be stiffer. There are choices that allow for the same ride as stock without having to be 1200lbs. Progressive springs are an option. I don

Joe...

Ray's car is a 2002. Mine is a 2004 and the difference is very noticeable. His car corners much flatter, nullifying the body roll of my car.
