Default swaybar

Hey I put this Under the hood but nobody responded. Does anyone happen to know the torque spec for the bushing brackets and where the bar connects to the control arm. I will be putting the swift swaybar on this weekend.

Thanks Steve

On page 18-18 of the workshop manual, the torque specs for the swaybar are 38Nm and 29Nm, depending on which joint.

The instructions that came with my Comptech FSB have a few sections that look to have been "borrowed" from the Honda service manual. They say 29 ft-lb (39 Nm) for the stock bushing brackets (which is why I think it was lifted from Honda, the Comptech uses different brackets), and 28 ft-lb (38 Nm) for the endlinks/sway bar connection. Note that the endlink requires an allen key to be inserted inside the nut that you are torquing, so a standard torque wrench won't work.

It might not be a bad idea to download the AP1 service manual - in fact, it would be a very good idea. There was a link posted on this forum in the last week or two.

Here's the thread:

Could always go with the original factory setting of PFT (Pretty F-ing Tight). This is of course slightly below RFT (Really F-ing Tight).

Hell yeah, that is probably what me and the uncle will do. LOL.

I will get some pics of his porsche with my S2k in it this weekend.
