Okay, first off, the flame suit is on. Please know this is NOT meant to be a which gender is better post and is meant to be of the highest level of maturity please. I know a lot of you like to joke but I don't want someone to take one person's sarcasm the wrong way.

Anyway, this is a regional specific question, which is why I posted it in the Ohio forum. In your opinion, which gender is more motivated to succeed in the workplace today? Is it men or is it women? This has nothing to do with pay or equal rights or anything, just who, in your opinion, seems to have more drive to succeed. Who goes out of their to go the extra mile, even if they aren't getting paid for it?

You can post in this thread if you choose to, but I prefer just a vote only so that no one really knows how the other person has voted and that'll help prevent a flame discussion that really isn't necessary.

As always, you guys rock Thank you.

I personally think this is an incomplete question. The drive to succeed, I feel, is fairly equal between most people. However what differentiates people (and in turn the sexes) is what constitutes success. Is success being well respected in your field, or simply being top dog? Is success making more money, or simply earning enough to support a lifestyle that makes you happy?

Yah this and the other question are both kind of incomplete...

There are just too many variables...

Maybe,

Assuming a women has the same experience at the same job as her male counterpart yet makes 75% as much as he does, will this affect her performance and motivation

Just something more indepth and to the point

In my work experience ,if the woman is the departmental head she is the motivated one. The rest of the opposite sex are sheep that have to be lead around every day either because the whine;can't comprehend or want to comprehend;or need constant validation
