If we cannot have an intelligent discussion of a reasonable question, than perhaps I have overestimated the committment of the moderators to this board to fair and open discourse. As I said before, moving my previous thread begs the question I had put to the moderators. I am beginning to suspect that the moderators do not understand the concept of fair and open discourse nor how to respond to pointed though uncritical questioning. This is exactly why I and many of my fellow participants to this board left H-A.net.

 

I bet this one gets moved to. See my addition to Moving Threads thread. I ask an honest question (as do you) and would like an honest answer.

Maybe only friends and alies of the moderator who moved all the posts get to post in car talk?

I am curious how moving a thread constitutes censorship?!

Seems like a stretch to me, but then again, I've been wrong before...!

Well what exactly is the right Forum. In the moving threads topic I asked what the criteria is for Car Talk. Seems real arbitrary at this point.

The point about censorship is that some posts get taken off the front burner (car talk) and are sent to the Siberia of Off Topic. In car talk you get a rerouted folder that does not rise to the top or update the number of responses when someone post a response. It falls out of sight and unless someone looks to Off Topic or wherever else it might be exiled they will never get to read it.

I have no problem with actual "Off Topic" posts being rerouted to Off Topic but I do find it objectionable when posts (such as "The Intangibles") gets rerouted. It is arbitrary and smacks of favoritisim.

Once again what is the criteria for a post to be allowed to stay in Car Talk?

By the same token, arbitrarily moving posts that DO belong in a particular forum doesn't help the moderators case either.

 

Yeah, what's with all the s2k posts being moved to off-topic? There's at least eight that are clearly s2k related. It's total chaos!!! (I have a life, really, just curious)
