Default AP1 bumper on an AP2?

Yeah, I was the guy at the winter meet who was wining that his son hit a cat and will need to replace his front bumber.

Now that I'm becoming more familiar with the subtle differences in the AP1s & AP2s, my favorite of which is the style of the configuration of the front bumper, I just wondered since I've gotta replace it anyway....

Would an '00 to '03 bumper fit on an '05?

Probably not going to fix it for another week or so but just wondered if any of you had tried it (or heard of anyone trying it.)

Thanks!

Considering that many have put the AP2 front bumper on the AP1, I don't see why it wouldn't work the other way around.

You might skim through this thread just to compare some of the differences (if any):

Thanks! Both threads were helpful. I hadn't spoken to a body shop about a retro-conversion but doesn't sound like it'd be too difficult.

I like the looks of the AP1 bumper better but wonder if mixing AP 1 & 2 would have any impact on the market value of my AP2? (ie. considered an enhancement or not?)

Hopefully at the next "meet" it'll at least all be NFR...

It has a few cracks in the finish along the bottom. Wasn't sure if it could be repaired but every body shop I've been to has said it needs to be replaced.

Probably won't have time to have anything done for another couple of weeks. I'll post a pic as soon as I get a chance.

Don't know if they'd give me the old one back or not (regardless if I stay tock or do the retro-conversion) but I'll let you know as soon as I get all the facts.
