Default A/C Quit Suddenly

while driving around today my a/c just quit blowing COLD air. fans still run/cycle.check my fuses.didn't check the relays since i really don't know what i'm doing with them.
anybody else have this problem? my car has 120k miles on it & no issues before with the a/c. just wondering if anybody has experienced this.........

370z's have plenty of their own problems. mostly electrical, friend of mine bought one and has nothing but problems since buying it brand new

after 120k miles i'm sure something can break. thats why its called high mileage

just sounds like bad luck to me. usually hondas in general (especially newer ones like ours) are pretty bullet proof.

at least the compressor didn't go bad or anything like that. a new compressor clutch is a pretty minor thing in the world of a/c problems.

yeah,ur both right. i have had plenty of Zs.they are BULLITPROOF on that motor & tranny, but Joe,ur right, nothin BUT electrical probs on those cars.in the old days you could set your watch by when the turbo was going-105k miles & POOF! lol
BTW-the front cover(piece held on by the c-clip) came off.i found it. a little banged up but maybe salvageable.
yeah, our Honda motors are class A.just wish everything else would stay that way too! lol
amazing how a little $3 clip can cause this much pain.
kinda like the love/hate of a relationship! lol

id say that if you have 120k miles and thats the worse thats happened, youre car is pretty solid.

In the year of owning the CR (w/ 5k miles), I've had both of the headrest speakers go out.

The plastic trunk latch has also broken.

I'm thinking it's time for warranty!

yeah i helped a friend install some big HKS twins on his 92 300zxtt, and lemme tell you, there's nothing like having to pull the damn motor to replace the turbos.

i love those cars, but the engineers had their heads up their asses when they designed the engine bay. you can dump a gallon of water on top of the engine and only about 3 drops will hit the ground.

lol. i HEAR ya on gettin to the engine on the TT Z. ah..gimme the old Zs.can pull & stab a new turbo on one of those in about 1 hr!
oh! and my compressor did take a dump on me! the shaft broke off at the clutch. nice. thought about buying new from Honda but hell, why? so,i went with a reman. only about $250 w.1 yr. warranty. spent enugg money on this car already.
lets see..new top,new drive axles,TPS switch,air pump(EXPENSIVE!),and now a/c compressor.
Oh,and someone made mention of high mileage at 120k? Sorry, had better luck with U.S. built cars on that. 120k is NOT or should not be high mileage on a Japanese built car.
That's why i buy Japanese cars because of their durability.
I'm seriously rethinking that idea. now.
I will go with quality and a SERIOUS warranty.
For those that have never checked 'em out-Hyundai is a pretty good car.damn shame they don't have a true sport car in their stable.Give 'em time tho. They've been rated in the top 5 now for quality.not bad for a car that was total trash about 20 yrs. ago!..
Stay tuned for what goes out on my S next!...lol
Def. keeping 4-Star Automotive busy! lol
